Founding the Autonomy Project has been an enormous undertaking, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve accomplished. From the documentary to the collective to my retreats for sex workers, I’ve learned much about creating meaningful change in our community. With the Autonomy Project as our guiding force, we will take our work to new heights and create a stronger community that bridges the gaps between the kink, queer, and sex-positive worlds.

With the launch of the Autonomy Project, my work has taken on a new direction, one that is focused on empowering creators and communities. I nearly cried upon receiving our 501(c)3 notice from the IRS last week, but the universe is giving me all the signs that this is the right direction to move in. It may be a great deal of work, but this work is a true labor of love. What does this mean for you?

If you were a member of Wicked Eden in the past, as of May 1st, your membership will become obsolete. Yes, I know, but it’s a necessary change as we switch to this non-profit model. In order to book appointments with me, you will need to purchase a membership to the Autonomy Project.

Memberships come in several varieties: three tiers of yearly membership, and a temporary membership. The yearly memberships also grand you the ability to purchase event tickets, attend classes, participate in the online community, and visit me as many times as you like. The temporary membership is only good for 48 hours and is good for one event or session.

It comes as no surprise that this entire endeavor is incredibly expensive, and I’ve extended myself pretty hard financially to do so. Congratulations on your upcoming session! I’ve assembled a little helpful information for you to get the most out of this life-changing experience.

You’re getting ready for session with a professional Dominatrix, and you want to make sure that it goes off without a hitch. That’s understandable! But if you’re not prepared, you could wind up with a less than stellar experience or even damaging your relationship with your professional in the process.

I’ll share my advice on preparing for a session with me, but these tips can be applied to any experience with a BDSM professional.

My schedule books up quite far in advance and if you have to reschedule, it could be a month or more before you get back in. It’s also incredibly disrespectful to me, because my time is limited and I’ve carved this space in my schedule for both of us. W

hen you reschedule within a week of your appointment, I don’t take last-minute sessions to replace them.

I am running multiple sites, a non-profit, shooting content, and managing my fanclubs and I only allot so much time to in-person sessions.  So treat this experience like the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity it is. Follow the arrival instructions carefully. Don’t arrive too early and if you’re going to be late, make sure you let me know as soon as possible.

Make sure you get enough sleep before your session and eat something healthy prior. I’ve had so many clients who don’t eat before their sessions and end up shaky, light-headed, or worse.

Make sure to drink plenty of water before you arrive at the dungeon as well to stay hydrated throughout your time there! If you have an extended appointment, feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks as well. If you take medications, make sure you’ve taken them that morning. You might be nervous, but forgetting something your body needs is a sure way to ruin the experience.

This should go without saying, but arrive sober. You may feel like having a drink to calm your nerves, but it can actually have a very negative effect on the scene. Alcohol in your system increases the risk of lasting marks or reactions to certain play, and being impaired means that I can’t fully tell what you’re consenting to. If I feel that you cannot consent fully, I won’t play with you. End of story.

Shower and clean your body with a gentle soap and moisturize your skin. Dry skin is flaky and unsightly, and it can leave you at risk for broken skin or marks from certain kinds of play. Exfoliate, it’s good for you!

Don’t wear heavy cologne, my nose is quite sensitive. Do use mouthwash though!

Avoid using lots of hair products, because I enjoy running my fingers through your hair. If you want to shave, now’s the time to do it! You can also trim any hair that might get in the way (for example, if there is some pubic hair that could get caught on clamps).

My preference is for closely trimmed or fully shaved public hair.

Come dressed nicely, but not to draw attention to yourself. Business casual is always a safe bet. If you have special outfits or clothes to wear for your session, bring them with you. Don’t wear them to your appointment. (Except panties, you can wear those.)

Bring gifts or thoughtful gestures to show appreciation for me. You can peruse my website for ideas. Some good things to bring include craft sodas, chocolates (in a nice box), live plants such as orchids, sour candy, luxury candles (please no cheap candles), toys/gear such as whips, restraints, etc– especially ones from my wishlist.

If there’s something specific you’d like me to use on you, bringing it with you is always a good way to have it included in your scene. You can also bring donations to the dungeon, but make sure you put these in a separate envelope.

A lot of people are afraid to be themselves in the bedroom, but this doesn’t work for BDSM. If you’re not being honest with yourself about what you want and need, then it’s unlikely that your session will go well. If you have a fantasy of being a “slave” but really don’t understand what that means, then it’s best to just be yourself and allow the session to evolve organically.

This also includes asking for extreme activities that you don’t have any experience with. I’m going to go slowly and increase the intensity over time, because I’m not going to risk injuring you physically or mentally.

I don’t have any expectations from you other than being polite, honest, and respectful. I work with everyone across the power and gender spectrum and I value authenticity above all else.

This also goes for being “stoic” in your session. I love my pets to be expressive, vocal, and reactionary to the things I’m doing to them. Don’t just sit there and take it. That toxic masculinity crap doesn’t work around here.

Preparing your mindset is an important step in preparing for a BDSM session. It’s not just about being physically ready, but also mentally and emotionally prepared. The best way to do this is by taking some time before your session to think about what you want out of it. Write it out if that helps, bring it with you if you think you’ll forget something.

It’s also crucial that you come in with an open mind. Don’t try to micromanage the experience, or want to know all the little details before they happen. I don’t even know what those are, because each session is different. Play should be organic and exploratory. Let me take the lead and guide you through.

If you’re coming in with the expectation of a specific thing, be realistic that your body may not cooperate. It happens! Your fantasy may be to take a 10′ dildo or be teased for hours on end, but that may not be realistic. A specific activity or scene may not occur because of time, equipment, how each our bodies feel, energy levels, or any number of things, and that needs to be ok. If you cling to a very specific outcome, you’ll miss all the wonderful connections and experiences you could be having along the way.

The same goes for orgasms. If you arrive with an expectation to cum, you’ll find I likely won’t let you. Orgasms are a privilege, not a right, and I feel that men already have an unhealthy obsession with them that gets in the way of experiencing truly incredible scenes. You might cum, you might not. But if you come in with a positive attitude

I am the subject of a documentary that was released today to over two dozen streaming services: “A Wicked Eden.”

A WICKED EDEN is a look at the inner workings of the Femdom fetish world, focusing on Goddess Alexandra Snow as she trains new talent, Raevyn Rose, in the way and secrets of how to run a business based on kink successfully. This 96-minute documentary promises to be funny, smart, sexy, and a little bit wicked.

I’ll be honest with you: this is one of the scariest things I’ve ever done in my life.

That’s because this documentary is about sex work, specifically the world of FemDom and fetish content creators and, well, a whole lot about my life that I’ve never shared in any public forum.

I am a sex worker. I have been for nearly two decades, and I am damn proud of what I do.

But I said yes because this is something I believe in: the voices of sex workers need to be heard. We are real people with real jobs, because sex work is real work. We desperately need to break down stigma and marginalization, and the only way we progress is by allowing people to see us as real people.

I said yes, because we need to talk more about sex, kink, and BDSM — and we need to talk about them honestly. Shame is toxic. Shame around sexuality and sexual expression causes so much harm to intimacy, autonomy, and self-worth. I’ve spent nearly two decades helping people explore their sexualities, work through traumas, and experience a reprieve from shame.

This documentary explores the complex world of femdom and fetish content creators, especially building a successful business in one of the most hostile sociopolitical landscapes. It includes dealing with fans and clients, gaining skills that no school can teach, navigating relationships, and ,most importantly– the uniqueness and solidarity of the community we’ve built. There are many interviews with my friends and colleagues, with sex therapists and fans and submissives. It’s incredibly sexy and funny, and uplifting.

And.. there’s a lot about my personal life in there. Truthfully, that was the hardest part.

When the project first started, I had carefully crafted answers for the interview questions, the same answers I’d given a dozen times to magazines and podcasts. How did I get started? What is it like to be worshipped by these men? What is dating like for me? What’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever been asked to do? (It’s still a video on having swallowed alien eggs from a gas station egg salad sandwich if you must know.)

There was a point in the interviews when the wall I’d built between my work persona and my authentic self began to break down. I stopped giving the rehearsed sound bites and started to open up. I began to realize that the only way for people to connect with me and people like me was to be vulnerable, honest, and raw. Vulnerability is challenging for most people, but it’s especially tough when you’ve spent 17 years as a Dominatrix. Not only does the media love to portray us as being broken little girls with Daddy issues, but they also love to paint BDSM as the result of trauma and abuse. The reality is that humans are complex creatures, and none of us get through life unscathed, so pretending otherwise was a life I didn’t want to lead anymore.

Or maybe it’s all the words of Brene Brown echoing in my head. Who knows?

As a professional dominatrix and fetish porn producer, I’ve often been asked to share my story. I’ve been approached by other documentary companies, TV networks, and even reality TV shows. There are several reasons why I have often refused the opportunity.

The biggest reason is that documentaries about sex workers are seldom made with our voices. They are always made through a lens of sensationalism or pity, such as the 2015 Netflix Documentary Hot Girls Wanted. It never shows us with any agency, only as helpless victims waiting to be saved.

But when Naddine Madell, a Candian filmmaker, approached me about this project, I saw that she already had a portfolio of other work that championed female empowerment. So I took a leap with one condition: I would agree to do the film, but only if I had veto power over absolutely any scene, to ensure that our stories retained the right narrative I also refused to sign any of the legal documents until the rough cut was finished, to make damn sure I didn’t end up like the women interviewed by Louis Theroux.

She agreed.

What transpired next was 3 ½ whirlwind years of filming and gaining some of the most beautiful friendships with the production crew and with Naddine herself. She kept her word at every step and demonstrated incredible ethics and honesty throughout the process. I remain in awe of how each of these people has stood up for us and continue to fight for our voices.

Sex workers are stigmatized, criminalized, and marginalized to the point where they cannot be seen as experts on their own experiences.

But sex workers are leaders in the fight for sexual freedom. We are the shock troops of feminism, demanding that our voices be heard and our rights respected.

Sex workers have long been considered either victims or criminals, and modern media likes to turn us into circus animals for their amusement. They portray us as something to be pitied or saved, or as degenerates who do not belong with the rest of polite society.

The reality is the majority of sex workers, whether online or in-person, are people who have chosen their profession because they find it lucrative, fulfilling, and rewarding. Many of us are college-educated, run successful businesses, maintain happy relationships with our friends and family, pay our taxes, and are upstanding citizens. We are normal people, like you. (Ok maybe normal is a stretch!)

Do things like abuse and exploitation happen in the adult industry? Of course, it does. But it doesn’t happen at any higher rates than any other industry. In fact, more exploitation happens in the hospitality industry than anywhere else. As someone who was exploited early in my career by my ex-husband, this stuff happens because society does not empower sex workers with agency and autonomy. In the years after escaping my own hell, I sought to change that by being the person I wish I had when I first began.

I want to show the world that sex workers come from all walks of life — there isn’t just one type of person involved in this industry any more than there is one type of client or fan who seeks our services and content.

I wanted to follow in the footsteps of Carol Leigh, who coined the term sex work, and who spent their life fighting for us.

The process of being filmed by a documentary crew can be grueling, even for someone like me who is quite used to being on camera. Hours upon hours of set up for one interview, numerous locations, 2 countries, and 6 different trips. They filmed hundreds of hours of footage to get the tiny little snippets you see in the film.

It felt like every last inch of my life was on film for those trips, and in some of the interviews, I was sick with the flu or so exhausted I couldn’t string words together. We did some cities back to back, with long flights and multiple road trips. It was a great deal of trust to place my story in the hands of these people, but they handled it with beauty and care.

At the time filming had begun, I had recently hired Daddy Des, and the experience of each trip definitely solidified our dynamic partnership even if it often felt like a trial by fire.

The crew told me they had never become friends with any of the subjects of projects they’d worked on previously, to which I still can’t imagine it any other way.

One of the most valuable aspects of this film outside of sex work is its compassionate portrayal of kink and BDSM. There’s still so much shame surrounding sexuality, especially for those who identify with submissive desires. The interviews helped to normalize this and show that these are all healthy aspects of sexuality when conducted in a healthy way.

Dominance and submission are symbiotic relationships that hinge on consent, trust, and connection, and for men who are able to joyfully embrace their submissive fantasies, it can be an antidote to toxic masculinity. In fact, it is by upholding powerful femininity, such as the glorious world of femdom shown in this documentary, that we can truly break down the stranglehold toxic masculinity has on men.

I was especially proud of Mo in the documentary because he bravely chose to honor himself with his interviews. Whether he knows it or not, Mo is the hero that more men need and has my unfettered respect.

My protege in the film, Ryan (formerly Raevyn), remains one of the most powerful voices for sexual liberation and she continues to inspire me to embrace my own sexual evolution every single day. The relationship that we built over the course of the documentary remains strong to this day and I’m grateful for her presence in my life.

But somehow, fortune and my hard work paid off. She’s all mine.

I signed the papers on Monday and got the keys yesterday! I’m now the owner of a beautiful, freestanding brick building just south of downtown. It will be offices, commercial dungeon, event space, rental photo/video studio, and production space — 6000 SQ ft of possibilities.

We will be utilizing the space for both production studio and dungeon, along with Tabitha Jane as my resident Domme partner-in-crime.

The loan I acquired allows for most of the structural work, walls, flooring, etc but none of the decor and furnishings.

I’ve started a Fundly (a better alternative to GoFundMe) for the remaining amount that we’ll need for this project. I’ve outlined the current priorities and items that we’re working towards, which include security fencing, appliances, hot water heater, and more.

I’ve been fortunate to have a kickass architect who understands my vision and the designs we have cooked up are amazing. Suspension system built into polished beams, glossy medical room, immersive bondage theatre, sensual library, sparkling makeover room, and so much more.

The new building is still in Columbus, and is located just south of downtown. It has a large parking lot and will be fully security fenced.

What will it have?

The building will be split into two sides, one dedicated to kink and the other dedicated to video production. The dungeon side will feature 7 fully sound dampened, private playrooms that will be rentable to couples/moresomes and select professionals with two full bathrooms with full showers. It will also have overnight accommodations with bedroom and shower, a community space with full kitchen and classroom area for classes and educational events.

The entire space (6000 sq ft) will be utilized for larger events and play parties, as well as creative events featuring photography, music, and dance. We intend to rent our production space to industry creatives as well as utilize it for our own production projects.

When will construction be finished?

As with everything else post-pandemic, things are taking longer than usual and we don’t anticipate the construction to start until August. We hope to have everything finished and to move in fully by late fall, with our grand opening occurring sometime towards the end of the year.
